At NOCO Humane, we understand how difficult the decision can be to provide your pet with the final act of love and compassion through humane euthanasia. Whether due to illness or injury, because of a behavioral concern, or another reason, we are here for you during this difficult process.
NOCO Humane provides owner-requested euthanasia services by appointment only. At this time, we are unable to accommodate owners and families who wish to be present with their pet during the euthanasia process. If you would like to be present with your pet, we provided additional resources below for euthanasia service options. If you have questions about afterlife services for your pet, feel free to call prior to your appointment and we will be happy to assist you.

Dedicated times ensure that trained staff are on-site for facilitation. Arriving on schedule will help ensure our team is able to provide you and your pet with the greatest level of comfort and assistance.

As an independent, non-profit organization, NOCO Humane uses the following fee structure:

$60 cat euthanasia

$80 dog euthanasia

$30 small mammal/other euthanasia
Other end-of-life services:

$30 after-service viewing
-
$30 hold animal for 48 hours (required for private cremations)

$30 paw print (plus cost of paw print kit – available in shelter retail store)
Valid Proof of Ownership is Required

In order to proceed with a scheduled appointment, valid proof of ownership of your pet is required at the time of the appointment. Common types of proof of ownership include microchip identification, veterinary records, and county licensure. Additionally, there are a variety of ways a pet owner can prove their ownership – if you have questions about acceptable documentation, please contact us in advance and we can provide guidance: 970.226.3647 ext. 0.
